On July 1, 2008, the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District (GSWMD) implemented a Late Fee Disposal Charge for commercial and private haulers that are on-site after the Logan Landfill and the Bozeman Convenience Site posted closure times. On October 27, 2010, the GSWMD amended the July 1, 2008, policy, effective December 1, 2010.  On January 28, 2014, the GSWMD amended the December 1, 2010, policy, effective February 1, 2015.  This policy replaces the previous Late Fee Policies.

Onsite customers unloading after the closure times will be charged a late fee in addition to their regular disposal fee. The fee is the same for all customers whether they are commercial, private, or the general public.

The District operates:
Logan Landfill: 10585 Two Dog Road, Manhattan, MT  59752
Bozeman Convenience Site: 2143 Story Mill Road, Bozeman, MT  59715

Late Fees:
$25 for each 10 minutes on site after closing 
$100 maximum fee

Winter Schedule:
Logan Landfill: November through February:  7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Saturday; Closed Sunday
The Logan Landfill will promptly close at 4:30pm.  At 4:31pm,  late customers will be turned away. All customers will be required to stop unloading and leave the premises at 5:00 pm.

No exceptions.

Bozeman Convenience Site:  8:00am – 3:30pm Tuesday- Saturday; Closed Sunday – Monday.
The BCS will close promptly at 3:30pm.   At 3:31pm, late customers will be turned away. All customers will be required to stop unloading and leave the premises at 4:00pm.

No exceptions.

Summer Schedule:
Logan Landfill: March to October :   7:00am–5:00pm Monday–Friday;  Saturday 7:30am – 4:30pm; Closed Sunday

The Logan Landfill will promptly close at 5:00pm Monday through Friday.  Saturday the landfill will promptly close at 4:30pm.   The Saturday late fee will be the same as the winter late fee starting at 4:31pm.  At 5:01pm Monday through Friday,   late customers will be turned away.  All customers will be required to stop unloading and leave the premises at 5:30pm.

No exceptions.

Bozeman Convenience Site:  8:00am to 3:30pm Tuesday – Saturday; Closed Sunday and Monday

The Bozeman Convenience Site will close promptly at 3:30pm.  The BCS hours will remain the same as the winter hours 8:00am– 3:30pm.   At 3:31pm,  late customers will be turned away.  All customers will be required to stop unloading and leave the premises at 4:00pm.
